Definition of SuccessHEALTH by Amy: Success is based on the wealth that we have, and each and everyone of us have a different perspective about what is the right factor. For example, I believe that wealth is health. Health is something that not any man can have. Even if you have all the money in the world, there are thousands of diseases that can’t be cured once you are infected. There are others that cause you to lose something special, something dear to you. Health is not obtained by relationships, it is not obtained by money, it is not even obtained by knowledge. It is obtained through more than that. If you were hoping for an explanation, I apologize that I cannot give one. All I know is that, if you don’t have health everything else is wasted because you lose all that money, knowledge and happiness when you die.
SOCIAL CLASS by Isshin: Success can be acquired through different ways, but I would like to focus on obtaining success by standing high up in the social pyramid. This can be a little vague, since it kind of includes money, authority, health, relationships, intelligence, basically components of everything you need to be successful is a part of being a “upper class”. Although it is obvious that social position can determine your wealth and success, I think it is unfair how it can be super easy for a person to be up there, and for some people it is extremely difficult and needs to sacrifice many things to get there. For example, some kid can be born in poverty, and has a big dream of becoming a entrepreneur. As a poor boy, getting an education can be a very difficult task and a rare opportunity. Even if he gets into a school, if he fails or cannot reach the standards, he will not be able to fulfil his dream. On the other hand, some kid can be born in a very rich and wealthy family who everyone looks up to, with a very good reputation. That kid, not knowing anything, will already have that social status way higher than the kid born in poverty. He will be able to attend to a very good school (because money can do that) and even if he fails, he can still take over his family’s job and keep his wealth. You see, although success can be determined through social class, people have different ways of getting up there.
MONEY by Hanaka: For me, money is EVERYTHING. The food you eat, the clothes you wear, the friendships you have, everything revolves around money. "Money doesn't bring you happiness" just a load of bs really. Lets see what you can do without it then ? You won't last long for sure. The future will forever continue on with it's use of money. If you have no money and think to yourself that you can get far in life, you won't last long on the streets.
For instance, why do you go to school ? Why would you bother going to college ? Yes that's right, you want to be successful, and having that success is the amount of money you have in your hands. Money represents wealth, creates great relationships, success, and health as well as happiness. Money is everything, whether you like it or not it will always be there. RELATIONSHIP by Nana: For most successful people, building good relationships is a lifelong pursuit. What is the most important thing people need? No, it’s not money. It’s not achievements nor recognition either. The most important thing people need is love. We all need to love and be loved. Unfortunately, sometimes we are so obsessed with other things that we forget how beautiful it is to love and be loved. When people are dying they do not think about their achievements and awards. They don’t care whether they are rich or famous. All those things become meaningless when people are face-to-face with death. All they want is having the people they love around them.
CONTENT by Yasmin: To me happiness represents success. I know that success is the act of accomplishing a set of goals, yet by reaching those goals, what do you get? A medal? A prize? Maybe. But, I think you get this sense of accomplishment where the feeling can only be expressed as satisfaction. In my research I have found out that people who are happy while they are striving for success, achieve it easier and faster. They are able to maintain their success in the long run, while people who achieved success who aren't happy, desires for more. To implement this information in my daily life is to strive for happiness rather than success. Success is just a coat, a decoration for happiness. So, the goal should never be if "I do this, I will be happy", it should be "I will be happy regardless of whether I reach my goal or not".
